About this event

Can't job hunt on a weekday? Come Saturday. On January 23, employers from Princeton and the Highway 169 corridor will be at Princeton High School from 10 to 2 with real openings, the pay posted, and someone ready to interview you on the spot. Free, walk-ins welcome, no resume needed.

Plenty of jobs around Princeton never reach a big job board, and most job fairs happen on a weekday, an hour down 169 in the Cities. 169 Works! brings the employers to Princeton, on a Saturday.

Employers hiring in and around Princeton will be at Princeton High School with real openings and the pay posted for every one. Each brings someone who can interview you right at the table. If you'd rather work close to home than commute, start here.

When and where: Saturday, January 23, 2027, 10 AM to 2 PM, Princeton High School, large gym (the P Gym), 807 8th Ave S, Princeton. Enter through the main lobby. If winter weather changes the plan, we'll post it on this page first.

For job seekers: Free. Walk in, no sign-up needed. Bring a resume if you have one. No resume? Come anyway.

Access for everyone:
-ASL interpreters, if requested by January 9.
-Paper applications, and help filling them out.
-Any other access need, ask by January 15 so we can plan for it.

Hiring in the Princeton area? A table is $150 if booked by December 23, 2026, and $250 after. Businesses, training programs, nonprofits and public agencies all pay the same rate. Your jobs go on this page ahead of time, so job seekers arrive already knowing what you're hiring for.

Who it’s for: Job seekers and employers along the Highway 169 corridor

How it works: Employers have the tables. Job seekers walk the floor and talk to them.

Walk-ins are welcome. You do not have to sign up. Signing up ahead helps us plan how many people to expect, and means we can tell you if anything changes.

Been to one of our events before?

We can fill this in from your last registration, including anything you uploaded. Tell us where to send the link.

We send the link rather than showing your details here, so that nobody can use this form to find out whether somebody else has registered with us. It takes one click from your inbox.

Walk-ins welcome. Fields marked (required) must be filled in.

Terms & Conditions for Participation

These are the terms for attending a WorkReadyMN event. WorkReadyMN is run by Novara Consulting Group LLC. Using this website is covered separately by our Terms of Use, and how we handle your personal information is covered by our Privacy Statement.

You agree to these when you register. We keep a record of which version you agreed to and when.

  1. Attending is free, and registering is optional. You do not have to register to come to an event unless the event page says places are limited. Registering helps us plan, lets us tell you if something changes, and saves you time at the door. Walk-ins are welcome wherever the event page says so.
  2. Register yourself. Give accurate details, and register only yourself or someone who has asked you to register them. Do not use another person's private link or confirmation code.
  3. What you share, and who can see it. You decide this, and you can change it at any time. Your registration details are used to run the event and are seen by our staff. Anything else, including a resume, a cover letter, a profile or a business card, is only shared if you choose to share it, and each item has its own setting: private, visible to employers at the event, or visible to other attendees and exhibitors as well. Your registration page shows you exactly who each item is shared with. Change it or withdraw an item whenever you like.
  4. How long we keep your documents. Your registration record stays with us so that returning to a future event is quicker. Where an event deletes resumes and cover letters after a set period, the event page says so and we email you before it happens, so you can tell us to keep them. You can ask us to delete anything you have uploaded at any time, and we will.
  5. What employers may do with your information. Employers at our events agree in writing that anything you give them may be used only to consider you for a job at their own organization. They may not sell it, share it, or add you to a marketing list. If an employer does something else with your details, tell us and we will act on it.
  6. Never pay for a job. No employer at our events may charge you a fee of any kind, for an application, a background check, training, equipment, or anything else, and none may require you to buy something to be considered. If anyone asks you for money or for bank or payment details, do not give it to them and tell our staff straight away.
  7. Interviews and booked times. Where an event lets you book a time with an employer, the employer decides who they meet and may not be able to see everybody. A booked time is a conversation, not an offer or a promise of one. If you cannot make a time you booked, cancel it so somebody else can have it. If you are running late, come anyway.
  8. Getting the support you need. Tell us what you need and we will arrange what we can, including ASL interpreters, captioning, accessible seating, help with forms and help getting there. Ask as early as you can, and by any deadline on the event page, because some support has to be booked ahead. You never have to explain a diagnosis to get help.
  9. How we expect people to behave. Treat everyone at the event with respect. Harassment, slurs, threats and intimidating behavior are not acceptable, and we may ask anyone doing those things to leave. If something happens to you or you see it happen to somebody else, tell our staff. We would always rather know.
  10. Photography. We and people we authorize may take photographs and video at our events and use them to promote the program. If you would rather not be in them, tell our staff or any photographer and we will respect it. If we would like to use a photograph in which you are clearly the subject, we will ask you first.
  11. What we do and do not promise. We bring people and employers together. We do not promise that any employer will be hiring for a particular role, that you will get an interview, or that you will be offered a job. Employers are independent organizations. We do not employ, endorse or vouch for them, and we are not part of any hiring decision or any job you take. Job listings and pay ranges are the employer's own words.
  12. Stories and feedback. Anything you tell us in a feedback form or a story is voluntary. If you share a story, you confirm it is yours to share, and we publish it only as the form describes and only with your permission. You can change it or take it down at any time.
  13. Email you will get from us. Registering means we email you about the event you registered for, including your confirmation, reminders and any change. If you opt in to event updates or the newsletter, we email you about other events too, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your email address.
  14. At the venue. Follow the venue's rules and any instruction from our staff or the venue's staff. Look after your own belongings. Neither we nor the venue is responsible for property you lose or leave behind, though we will always try to help you find it.
  15. If an event changes or is cancelled. Events can change date, venue or format, and can be cancelled. We will email everyone who registered as soon as we can. As attending is free, there is nothing to refund. If you paid for something at an event, our Refund Policy covers it.
  16. Cancelling your registration. You can cancel or change your registration at any time from the private link in your confirmation email. Please do cancel if you cannot come, particularly where places are limited, so somebody else can have yours.
  17. Responsibility. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing here affects your rights under consumer protection law, and nothing here limits what you can do about an employer.
  18. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The version you agreed to continues to apply to the event you registered for, unless a change is needed to comply with the law. Each version is numbered and dated.
  19. Which law applies. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Minnesota. If something goes wrong, please tell us first. Most things are quicker to fix by email than any other way.

Questions, or something you want to report: heather@workreadymn.com.

Refund Policy

This policy covers fees paid to Novara Consulting Group LLC for taking part in a WorkReadyMN event as an exhibitor, vendor or sponsor. It forms part of the participation terms you agreed to when you applied.

Attending as a job seeker is free, so there is nothing to refund.

IF YOU CANCEL

Tell us in writing at heather@workreadymn.com. The date we receive your email is the date we use.

More than 30 days before the event: full refund, or move your fee to a later event, whichever you prefer.

15 to 30 days before the event: we refund half, or move your whole fee to a later event. Moving it keeps the full value, so most organizations choose that.

14 days or fewer before the event: no refund. By then your space is committed, printed material naming you has usually gone out, and we cannot fill the space. You may still send different staff in your place at no charge, or ask us to move your fee to a later event. Moving it this late is at our discretion and we will not unreasonably refuse.

Not turning up, without telling us: no refund.

IF WE CANCEL, POSTPONE OR MOVE THE EVENT

You choose: a full refund, or your fee moved to the rescheduled date or a later event. We will tell you as soon as we can and will ask you which you would like. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, we move your fee to the next comparable event and tell you we have done so.

This is the same whether the cancellation is our decision or is forced on us by something outside our control, such as severe weather, loss of the venue, a public health order or a government restriction.

SPONSORSHIPS

A sponsorship is refunded on the same timetable, with one difference: if any part of what you paid for has already been delivered before you cancel, such as your logo on printed flyers, on signs already produced, or in email already sent, we deduct the direct cost of what was produced. We will show you those costs.

IF WE END YOUR PARTICIPATION

If we end your participation because you broke the terms, no refund is due. This is set out in the participation terms.

HOW REFUNDS ARE PAID

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds usually reach you within 5 to 10 business days once we issue them, depending on your bank. If you paid by check or transfer, tell us where to send it and allow up to 30 days.

We refund the fee you paid us. We do not deduct card processing fees from your refund.

If you have an unpaid invoice and cancel, the same timetable decides what you still owe.

CHANGING WHO ATTENDS

Sending different people from the same organization is free and needs no notice. Tell us the names before the event if you can, so the badges are right.

Transferring your space to a different organization needs our written agreement, which is covered in the participation terms.

QUESTIONS AND DISAGREEMENTS

Ask us at heather@workreadymn.com. If you think this policy has been applied unfairly, say so and a person will look at it again. We would rather sort it out directly than have you take it further.

This policy may change. The version in force when you applied is the one that applies to your event.
