A site and events everyone can use
We want everyone to be able to find an event, register, get there and take part. This statement explains what we do, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about a barrier.
The standard we work to
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Built in, not added on
Display choices
The accessibility toolbar at the top of every page offers dark and high contrast modes, larger text and a dyslexia-friendly font. The site also follows your device’s contrast and reduced-motion settings.
Forms that work for everyone
Registration, accommodation and application forms work with a keyboard and screen reader, work without JavaScript, and explain each error next to the field.
Accommodations at events
Anyone can ask for interpreting, captioning, accessible materials, seating, transportation help or anything else, when registering or separately.
Checked booth pages
Employer and vendor pages check images, links, videos and files as they are built, and lock before each event for an accessibility review.
Directions in words
Directions to each venue are written out step by step, by car, on foot or by public transit, with the venue’s own notes on entrances and parking. The map is extra.
Screens at events
The display shown at events has large text and a high contrast option.
What still needs work
- Maps from Google are provided by Google and may not work well with every screen reader. The written directions have the same information.
- Files and videos that employers and vendors add are checked before each event, but some may not be fully accessible. Ask the organizer for another format.
- Pages from other websites we link to, such as payment or job application pages, are not under our control.
